Dr. Bene is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a Mohs College fellowship-trained skin cancer specialist and dermatologic surgeon who, with her dedicated staff, is committed to provide the highest quality care for her patients.
Dr. Bene is also fellowship trained in Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology and offers advanced treatments for facial rejuvenation, vascular and pigmented lesions, varicose and spider veins, Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport for wrinkles, Botox® Therapeutic for hyperhydrosis, Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse fillers for wrinkles and facial volume correction, and other newest cosmetic procedures.
After graduation from Boston University School of Medicine with high honors, she completed her internship in medicine and surgery at Newton-Wellesley hospital affiliated withs Tufts University Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and her dermatology residency at the State University of New York/Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo.
Dr. Bene continued her advanced training as a fellow in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology and reconstructve surgery with Dr. Brett Coldiron at the Skin Cancer Center in Cincinnati and as a fellow in laser surgery, cosmetic dermatology and phlebology with Dr. Robert Weiss at Maryland Laser, Skin & Vein Institute in Baltimore.
Dr. Bene has written numerous research articles and has lectured nationally about advances in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Bene is a Diplomate of American Board of Dermatology. She is a Fellow of American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She has extensive experience in the latest cosmetic skin enhancement procedures.

Dr. Mavropoulos (who is affectionately called Dr. Mav or Dr. John by his patients) is a Board Certified Dermatologist and completed a Mohs micrographic surgery/procedural dermatology fellowship approved by the American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), assuring the highest standards on physician training in the United States.
After completing the Medical Scientist (MD-PhD) Training Program at Duke University Medical School and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, he completed a transitional internship at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia followed by a dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery/ cutaneous oncology and procedural dermatology in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Mavropoulos has written a number of peer-reviewed research articles on numerous topics including skin cancer and vein care. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery, and a member of the American College of Phlebology.
Monica is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner who joined the practice in 2015. Monica earned her Bachelor’s degree from York College of Pennsylvania and has extensive experience working in a variety of specialties including medical, surgical, critical care, trauma, pediatrics, and behavioral health. She is also a Certified Emergency Nurse. Monica attained her Master’s degree from Widener University and graduated with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the State of Pennsylvania, is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Monica is passionate about medical and cosmetic dermatology and is also a licensed Cosmetologist that specialized in nail and skin care. Monica enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan and is committed to providing safe, quality care for optimal patient satisfaction.
Lori Leach is a board certified and masters-degree prepared Nurse Practitioner. She has been a resident of South Central Pennsylvania her entire life. She graduated with honors from York College of Pennsylvania with her Bachelors of Science degree and continued her education at Penn State University where she graduated at the top of her class earning her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree. She discovered her passion for dermatology while working at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, taking care of patients in the in Heart and Vascular, Neuroscience, and Surgical Intensive Care Units. Lori received her first dermatology training at Penn State Hershey Dermatology and is currently working to obtain board certification in dermatology and plans to obtain a Doctorate of Nursing practice.
Lori is a member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, National Psoriasis Foundation, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Nurse Practitioners subspecialty group Dermatology, and International Dermoscopy Society. Lori believes the key to building relationships with her patients is through strong communication. She is compassionate to individual concerns and encourages patients to ask questions, know their medical needs, and understand their treatment plans.
